Inaugural Log A Load for Maine Kids Partnership Raises Big Money for BBCH

For the first time in 2019, we here at The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital were grateful to partner with Maine’s Log A Load for Kids program! Log A Load for Kids began in 1988, when loggers and wood-supplying businesses donated the value of a load of logs to local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Since then, the program has grown and now raises more than $2 million annually through various fundraising events.

Over the last 20 years, Log A Load for Maine Kids has supported the Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, which is located in the northern part of the state. But- thanks to the Professional Logging Contractors of Maine- in 2019 Log A Load for Maine Kids generously expanded their fundraising efforts to include our children’s hospital! As a result, The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital was invited to participate in Log A Load’s annual dinner and auction in April and in September the inaugural Log A Load for Kids Southern Maine Golf Tournament was held at Lake Kezar Country Club in Lovell. Through these events, Log A Load for Maine Kids was able to raise an impressive $135,007 for The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital and Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center! Thank you to everyone at Log A Load for Maine Kids and the Professional Logging Contractors of Maine for your generous support!

We are excited to once again partner with Log A Load for Maine Kids for the 2nd Annual Log A Load for Kids Southern Maine Golf Tournament in the summer of 2020. Further details on this year’s tournament will be coming soon… so stay tuned ‘fore’ more information!
