BBCH Extra Life Hero: Meet Dan!
It’s no secret that I love our Extra Life program at BBCH, but it’s mostly because of the people. Our Extra Lifers are awesome! I’d like to introduce another one of our amazing gaming community members making a big difference #ForTheKids at The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital (BBCH)!
Meet Dan, AKA Mr T L Wolf

How long have you been a part of Extra Life? I have participated for seven Extra Life events total, and six straight years. I’ve raised $619 for BBCH so far in 2020, and just shy of $2,000 overall.
What are your favorite games? My favorite game from my childhood is Space Quest III: The Pirates of Pestulon, and these days I’m playing Forza Horizon 4, Monster Hunter: World, Apex Legends. I’m a bit all over the place!
When did you start gaming? I’ve been gaming since I was a kid; my grandfather was a manager for IBM so we always had a computer with games on it, and my mom and step-dad made sure we had something to play while growing up. I found Extra Life both through Rooster Teeth, and the first year I signed up a friend held a house party for Extra Life and had streamed it, and it lit the spark both to stream and to raise money for Extra Life.
Why do you Extra Life? Really my why is that I already game pretty heavily as a hobby, let alone as a streamer, and it’s the right thing to do to help out who I can while doing so. I was fortunate enough as a child to never require the services of a children’s hospital, but a lot of children are not that lucky, so I want to assist however I can.
Having a great team of fellow Rooster Teeth fans here locally has been a blessing; the past few years we’ve been able to have in-person events for Gameday, although this year we’re going all-digital for our Gameday.
My original goal for this year was $500 but streaming, putting up a Facebook fundraiser, and getting the word out pushed me past that goal in September, so I’ve moved up to a $1,000 goal. If I can hit that, my wife Jo is going to help me dye my beard purple. I’m happy to have the opportunity to do good for my community while playing games!
