Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital Champions, Hazel & Edgar throw first pitch at Sea Dog’s Game

On Sunday, June 24th, the 2018 Champions for The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital (BBCH), Edgar and Hazel Leclerc had the opportunity to throw a first pitch at the Portland Sea Dog’s game against the Trenton Thunder.

Edgar and Hazel, siblings and cystic fibrosis patients at BBCH were nominated as the 2018 Champions by the children’s hospital nursing staff.  They have been spending this year creating awareness around the charitable needs of children’s hospitals, educating the community about cystic fibrosis, and attending fundraising and community events on behalf of BBCH.

We could not ask for a more incredible family to serve as our 2018 Champions! And a very special thank you to the Portland Sea Dogs for providing this incredible opportunity for Edgar and Hazel.
