Log A Load for Kids Maine 2020 Results

We have some exciting results to share with you! Our friends at Log A Load for Maine Kids raised $57,467.11 for The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital (BBCH) this year!

Log A Load for Kids is an annual campaign that began in 1988 in South Carolina. Loggers and others in the forest products community donated the value of a load of logs to their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Over the years the program has expanded to include dinners, auctions, golf tournaments, and special fundraising events. In total, Log A Load for Kids has raised more than $44 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the country.

For over 20 years, Maine’s Log A Load program supported pediatric healthcare in the northern part of the state. In 2019, the program expanded to support children at The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital.

Despite the many challenges of 2020, the Log A Load for Maine Kids program still held two events benefitting BBCH. First in August, Log A Load hosted a socially-distanced Southern Maine Golf Tournament. Later in October, Log A Load took their annual auction virtual, hosting the Online Log A Load for Kids Maine Silent and Live Auction. We are so grateful for the Log A Load for Kids Maine program, the Professional Logging Contractors of Maine, and the Maine logging and forestry community for their generous support. Thank you!
