TruHero credit card sets 2022 fundraising record

For members of TruChoice Federal Credit Union, supporting the kids at The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital is as easy making their day-to-day purchases using a TruHero credit card. When signing up for a TruChoice credit card, members have the option to become a ‘TruHero’, allowing a portion of the interchange income from their purchases to be donated to their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital: The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital.

Since launching the TruHero card in 2009, TruChoice has donated over $78,000, including a record-breaking $15,413 in 2022! The program continues to thrive, and over the last 5 years donations have more than doubled.

TruChoice CEO Ken Acker says ‘The great thing about these cards is how easy it makes it for members to give back.  They don’t have to keep track of ongoing donations, or remember an annual gift, we take care of that for them! All they need to do is use the card, and we’ve got the rest.  It’s a unique and special way for the entire credit union family to be involved in the community.’
