Meet Your 2019 BBCH Extra Life United Winners!

Each year, The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital (BBCH) sends two of our Extra Lifers to Extra Life United in Florida. Extra Life United is gaming tournament, organized by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, inviting the best charity gamers to compete for a $150,000 prize pool to benefit their local children’s hospital. Really… it’s so much more than that, as you can learn from the blog post our 2018 attendees co-wrote! Earning the trip to Extra Life United this year, Rob Paquet was BBCH’s top fundraiser for 2018, and Ryan Brownewell’s name was drawn from a pool of all the other Extra Lifers who raised a minimum of $300 by gaming for BBCH. Congratulations to Rob and Ryan- and let’s “meet” them both!

Rob has been fundraising for BBCH for 6 years, and this will be his 5th participating in Extra Life. Rob is from Casco, and some of his favorite games are Terraforming Mars, Raiders of the North Sea, Cribbage, Valeria Card Kingdoms and Crokinole. He’s also a team captain of Chits & Bits, and co-organizer of their annual gaming marathon, not to mention that you’ll find him at many of the 5 Guys fundraising nights!

Ryan is also in his 5th year of Extra Life for BBCH, playing on the Kepware and Friends team. Ryan lives in Cumberland (though he’s originally from a little farther north); his favorite video game is Overwatch, and favorite board game is Gloomhaven.
