Maine Hardware’s Gift for the Greater Good

All across Maine, hospitals are working hard to meet the healthcare needs of our neighbors during the COVID-19 crisis. Likewise, many essential businesses in our community have kept their doors open to provide for their customers in the safest ways possible.

Maine Hardware, the closest Ace Hardware neighbor of Maine Medical Center and The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital is more than living up to their commitment of being “The Helpful Place” – even during this incredibly difficult time.

As they continue to offer curbside pick up and delivery to their customers, they also remain in ongoing communication with Maine Medical Center and The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital to offer donations of personal protective equipment when possible. Just last week they provided dozens of respirators and N100 masks to our hospital at no cost; equipment that could prove to have a lifesaving impact on the doctors, nurses and therapists who are on the front lines of this crisis.

During these trying times, we couldn’t be more grateful to have community partners who are willing to give up a portion of their profit to ensure the greater good of the people of Maine. Thank you, Maine Hardware!
