Inaugural Southern Maine Log A Load Golf Tournament A Success!

The logging and forestry products industry across North America has been a longtime supporter of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through the Log A Load for Kids program.

Maine is no exception. For more than 20 years, the Log A Load program has generously supported children’s healthcare in Northern Maine. In 2019, thanks to the Professional Logging Contractors of Maine, that partnership expanded into Southern Maine to benefit The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital.

On Friday, September 6th, the inaugural Southern Maine Log A Load Golf Tournament took place at Lake Kezar Country Club in Lovell, Maine. Presented by Cross Insurance, this first-time event raised more than $25,000 for BBCH.

The event was complete with a visit from BBCH patient, Jacob Thiboutot and his family who joined us to share their BBCH story, sell lemonade to golfers and offer the occasional pointer to the players.

We’re already looking forward to growing the 2020 event with the partnership of this incredibly generous group of people!
