BBCH Celebrates Lunar New Year with Panda Express, South Portland

Lunar New Year begins January 29, 2025, as we ring in the Year of the Snake! Lunar New Year is a festive time to gather with family, friends, and communities to welcome new beginnings. In true tradition, it’s a celebration filled with vibrant festivals, joy, and, of course, the sharing of lucky foods to spread fortune and happiness for the year ahead.

Since 2007, Panda Express has been supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals like MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital by fundraising throughout the year. Panda Express associates ask guests to round up at the register, with every donation making an impact for our hospital and community.  

This Lunar New Year, we invite you to visit our friends at the Maine Mall (South Portland)  Panda Express to celebrate and donate. In 2024 alone, the team at the Maine Mall Panda Express raised an incredible $21,650 for MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital (BBCH)! This brings their 10-year fundraising total to over $189,000 for BBCH! Panda Express’ commitment helps our hospital to provide the most impactful care to kids when it is needed most.
